Remote Distribution FAQs
Q: What is a “remote distribution”?
A: Never Alone partners with churches and organizations across Cherokee County to bring food into some of the areas of our community with the greatest need. Remote distributions allow guests to visit a local outreach to receive food boxes.
Q: How do remote distributions normally work?
A: Our remote distributions are hosted as drive-thru style events. Guests will be guided by volunteers at each location into our distribution areas. Once in line, guests are served in a first come first serve basis. Guests remain in their vehicles and food is placed by our volunteers in the trunk or where our guests request.
Q: What do I need to provide in order to receive assistance at a remote food distribution?
A: Never Alone volunteers will assist you in completing required paperwork that includes your name, address, and the number of individuals in your household.
Q: What does Never Alone do with the information they collect?
A: Never Alone is a part of several Federal, State, and Local programs that allow us to provide a higher level of food assistance for our guests. The information we collect is solely used for tracking the number of guests and limited demographics about the needs we are meeting (i.e. age of those in need). Your information is secured and protected according to industry standards.
Q: Am I required to live in Cherokee County to attend a remote distribution?
A: No. Never Alone serves guests regardless of their physical location during our remote distribution events.
Q: Can multiple families pick up in the same vehicle?
A: Yes. Multiple families can receive food assistance through remote distributions. Please be prepared to provide, name, address, phone number, and how many are in the household. An ID is required for each home and each family is required to complete paperwork.
Q: I have additional questions, who can I contact?
A: Please contact us at 470-302-4055 for additional questions.
Q: When is the next remote distribution?
